That roll&lock is lookin better and better to me. Such a hard choice. Im not really gonna need a cover till the end of may when I drive down to FL so I have some time to decide still. Only thing that sux about the roll&lock is that it cost so much. The advanced 2 piece is just about half the price.

Again, great lookin cover though. I think I would go with the black also. Although the carbon would look nice with the dark shadow grey. I think I would grow tired of it fast.

Nice Retrax!

Where on earth did you find the pic?

(BTW: the Retrax canister is 12"x12")

I'm completely satisified with the Retrax. The Roll 'n Lock looks like a great product, too. So does the Advance, Access, and all the many others that are available today. I don't think any one of them is necessarily better than the other...it all depends on personal needs and aesthetics. It's great that we have so many good products to choose from.

LOL, thanks. That picture was taken when everything was new. It's not so clean and empty these days.

actually, you can see in the picture that the width of the roll in lock housing (ie: the portion you can see nearest the cab when they are both closed) is much larger than that of the retrax. obviously the depth lost in that area appears to be pretty similar but there appears to be more of that area lost in the roll n lock. in other words, both "shorten" the bed owing to the depth and width of the units, but the retrax would seem to shorten it less.

are both cannisters 12"X12"?

had the retrax installed today. yep, it looks like it takes up a little more space than the roll-n-lock. however, one thing that is way better than the roll-n-lock is that the retrax will lock open at ANY increment between fully closed and fully open vs. only having 4 or 5 pre-set lockable openings at say every 18".
