tow test tomorrow
I used my truck for a different kind of lake towing today. When our lake house was built 3-4 years ago, the builders left one of those huge wooden spools (for electrical cable) in the lake by the dock. At normal lake levels it's not visible, but when the water is low you can see it about 3/4 of the way buried in the lake bottom...an eyesore for 4-5 months of the year.
So today I took my truck down to the lake. I wrapped a couple of tow straps around the spool and attached it to the trailer hitch. Yanked that bad boy right out! It was huge! You should have seen it come up on the shore covered in a couple hundred pounds of lake bottom muck! The truck plucked it out of there with no problems like it was a weed. Pretty cool.
