The '04 F150 Goodyear LT275/65R18 is a load range C tire, while F250/350's typically have either a load range D & E. This is not the same tire that was available on previous model F150's (it was a 17" and a slightly different design).

While LT tires may carry more load, they are more conservatively rated vs. a P metric tire. That explains why the F150 LT275 recommended pressure is 45 psi, while the P275 is 35 psi. They both have the same rated loaded capacity at those specified pressures, per the Tire & Rim Association (T&RA).

The '04 F150 LT275 Goodyear exceeds at snow performance, which is a function of that tire's tread rubber compound and pattern design. This was a strong want from Canadian dealers. Tread noise is somewhat higher than BFG P275 Rugged Trail.
