Ok, so I am looking at my DORA and noticed a charge on the invoice side only called FDAF Assessment which totals $295.00. When I look on Ford.com and price the truck out the invoice is $33,899. However, my dealer has invoice as being 33,899 + 295 = $34,194. My question is does anyone else see this charge or anything similiar on their DORA or in the paperwork they have already received. My dealer agreed to sell for invoice and his invoice is not matching up to the invoice I see on Ford.com. I would like to be better informed before just charging into the dealer and telling him to take it off. Any idea what FDAF assessment mean?

Oh, by the way, I paid the FDAF fee. You will probably come across some threads that I have either started or responded to regarding this fee. In the end, some folks paid it, some didn't...

 

This is a fee that Ford charges the dealers for nation-wide advertising of the vehicle. It is a part of his invoice that he has to pay for the truck. My dealer is also basing my price on invoice ($100 below invoice) and the $295 is part of the total invoice. He doesn't make that money. All he'll make is his dealer hold-back 3% of MSRP and I sure don't begrudge the dealer that.
