Paint Protection Film
Paint Protection Film
As anyone had the paint protection film installed on there new truck, if so how do you like it? Did you get the headlight protection as well , what do you think of it
Thanks
Thanks
To early to tell
I had the paint protection done to my 04 bright red Lariat Screw just two weeks ago. It's too early to tell "how I like it" because of a lack of any bad experiences. I got it because there are a lot of pine trees where I park and it's not always possible to avoid them. Don't kniow if this helps.
No headlight film was installed.
No headlight film was installed.
I'm also curious
My dealer offers paint protection also. It is called "Auto Armor" and is made by ECP Inc (Entire Car Protection). Anybody ever heard of this company and product? My dealer said it was as good as, if not better, than Meguiars.
paint protection
this may not be the same paint protection that you are talking about, but i had a local company install some of the 3m paint protection on the painted section above the bumper and below the headlights on my 2004 lariat. i did not want the bugs to eat up the paint whenever it does warm up enough. i like it so far, you can not hardly see it.
Hey everyone,
My brother who lives in Portland Oregon works for one of the original designers of this film product and he is also an installer of the film...He does a lot of the expensive european cars and this stuff holds up extremely well and when it is installed correctly it is virtually invisible...He has been doing this installing gig for about 1.5 years now and they are backed up for orders for about month....My truck is scheduled to get done in the next couple of weeks when I can find time to get there to get it done...So as far as I am concerned the stuff is worth it...and my question to him was paint fade or tracking and they have not encountered any problems with this...He had one care come into the shop that has been backed into by a pickup with a hitch ball...The metal had been pushed in on the hood but the paint did not get damaged...Anyway I was very impressed....Just my thoughts here...

As a former member of an Audi forum i can tell you that the users there loved this product. The only thing that i saw posted as a negative was a cleaning problem. The owner used something to clean a small area to remove some type of spot (external) and scratched the film. Follow the cleaning instructions !!! I have the headlight and fog light protection from X-PEL. I am also considering the bumber and hood pieces. www.clearbra.com
