They have the freedom of choice and if they decide to drive a deathtrap it is Darwin's survival of the fittest coming into play.
Besides, even if the bumper of my 6000# vehicle meets up with their 2300# toy chances are they will still lose though there is less of a chance I will shear the passenger compartment off of the unibody.
