Fron suspension levelers affect ride?
Anyone here install the truck leveling kit to even the front and rear ends of the new F150?
Does this kit affect the ride at all?
Or is there no effect?
Also, how much does the kit cost and who installed it for you?
A dealer, you, or a shop?
Who sells the kit?
Thanks alot in advance...

I installed just the top half of the Daystar kit. It did not change the ride or handling at all. I removed the struts myself and had my Ford dealer compress the struts. I bought the Daystar kit off of ebay for $105 + $8 shipping from Heckethorn Offroad in TN.
Thanks for the info.
I've been noticing that most, 95%, of the new F150's I see on the road already look like they've been "evened" out?
All those trucks couldn't have had the levelers installed.
Do some new F150's *not* need leveling?
Also, why did you have the structs compressed?
Is that part of the Daystar kit install process or just something extra you wanted done?
Thanks again,
David T.

I have seen very few that have been lifted in the front. All the 04' F-150 4x4's will sit higher in the back by about 3" - 3.5" give or take. Take a tape measure and go to your Ford dealer tomorrow and see how they measure up. The springs still have energy when you remove them from your truck. If you don't compress them when you take the one nut on the top of the shock off,(this one nut is what holds on a plate that fits down on top of the spring) the spring will fly out with alot of force that can cause alot of damage. What everyone is talking about "compressing the spring" is done by a tool called a strut spring compressor. You can go to Yahoo and search for these if you want to see one. These new truck springs are so big it takes a pretty heavy duty compressor to handle them.
