Your from a small community, I can definitely see your point as well. Those dealerships will have to make money some how, and selling their vehicles for more than a larger dealership seems very logical, kind of like Convenience Stores cost more for a gallon of milk than the supermarket!

Also, low volume autos in general have to make more money by vehicles sales and service, such as Ferrari, Porsche, etc. Examples are $2,000 oil changes and tire rotations (Ferrari).

Another good point brought up by APT is that there are hidden incentives that only the Manufacturer and dealership know about, and Ford could be giving those smaller dealerships help, knowing they have far lesser income streams to go by.
