Fast Cash from Ford

Has anyone heard of new fast cash incentives from Ford on the F150? Saw some headlines from the automotive news...

Not sure exactly what you mean by "Fast Cash". Is that what they call the cash back incentives?

If so, my salesman today told me right now there is $1000 cash back, plus another $750 if you're military.

Now, I just have to hope these hold out until I pick up my truck that I ordered today!

Certain dealerships received some $500 coupon or certificates the last week of January. I think some dealers held on to them to use in February.

Is that what you're talking about? I think each salesperson received one of these, it wasn't unlimited from what I heard.

My dealer saved one of these $500 certificates for me to use on my truck when I pick it up later this week. I was pleasantly surprised when he told me about it.

I not only got the 1000.00 cash back, but the dealer gave me the 750.00 military cash as well. (i told him i was not and never been in the military), he asked me if i had any family members that had been in the military, and to bring in their discharge papers. So brought in my father in laws DD214 and got the discount.
The following weekend after i bought my truck, they ran an add in the newspaper, selling the exact truck ("4 at this price"), for
$ 4000.00 less than i negotiated mine for!

Ouch! When my wife and I bought our last car we made an effort to not see any newspaper ads, tv commercials etc. for a while just out of pure paranoia (self-induced ignorance?) that we might hear a better deal somewhere after having spent hours bargaining at the dealership.

I had something similar happen when I bought my first motorcycle (my first ever vehicle purchase...so I was 'green' at the time)...and spent what felt like ages getting what I thought was a good deal, then within a couple of weeks, they had it advertised at a lower price. I feel your pain!

Cheers.

Yeah, I've got this bad habit of continuing to search for a better price even after I've made a purchase, too. Not with vehicles, so far, usually just with electronics - stereo, computers, etc.

I guess it just makes one shop around more before the next purchase . . .

With electronics, it's particularly a bad idea since prices drop so quickly these days.
