LINE-X and Bed Tops

Just a word of warning so no one else has to go through this.

Called my dealer to ask if I should wait to install my LEER tonneau cover until after the LINE-X was installed. Told no problemo either way so I installed the cover first (since LINE-X install wasn't scheduled for another 3 weeks). Unfortunately I found out that LINE-X WILL NOT remove your tonneau or cap due under ANY circumstance for insurance reasons (at least that's what 4 or 5 LINE-X dealers all said).

Now I have to take my cover off, return for the LINE-X install and then re-install the cover. I'm just trying to help others so no "what you should have done replies" are needed. That has been taken carre of by my "better half".

Aren't you lucky! Now you will get to experience Leer's "Patented no-drill "easy-on/easy-off" installation system" as quoted from their brochure.

It's all personal opinion, but I think that Line-X is better. I have never had another kind of spray in liner. I don't feel the need to change. Line-X works very well and holds up to anything.

LINE-X vs Rhino

Due to my tonneau cover issue I can't tell you first hand yet, but the Sales manager showed me his truck with LINE-X and another truck in the lot with a Rhino liner. LINE-X was by far the better spray-in liner. Just one man's opinion.

I just had my Line-X installed and then my Snuglid, and I asked the Line-x dealer if it mattered if I put the Snuglid on first or AFTER the line-x. He said it would only COST more if they would have had to take off the tonneau cover. But they WOULD do it.

A California Thing

It just goes to show that it must be an individual Line-X dealer issue. Some do and some don't ... so buyer beware and ask FIRST.

MrPhish,

When I got my RhinoLining I was trying yo remember the names of the other linings I knew were out there. Obviously I didn't do much research into it and just went out and got it done that day. I'm plenty happy with it. I was just wondering what some of the differences were that you noticed between the two.
