Finally...running boards came in!!

Hey gents, I haven't seen any of these around so I thought I'd post a pic or two in case anybody else was thinking about these. This is my 04 Lariat Scab in Az. Beige. Tinted front windows, body matched vent visors, bug shield, and fiberglass running boards. Also has a low profile toolbox on it. I am very happy with it thus far, let me know what ya'll think...

Instead of eating up ya'lls bandwidth I'll just post a link to where I have the pics hosted..

SykoX,

Nice truck
My dad has an '02 F150 Lariat in Az. Beige with the hood deflector, fiberglass running boards (with wheel lip moldings), and fiberglass tonneau cover all painted to match. It is really sharp looking.

What brand of running boards are those? If you don't mind telling us, how much did they cost? I like the running boards, but I'm not sure about the wheel lip moldings, they look a little big. I guess I've gotten used to the factory ones (which I thought looked too wimpy when I 1st saw them).

Thank you for the comp, they are Breman boards and run about $645 painted and installed. I watched the guys do it and would not want to have done that myself. I think Breman and Prestigious are the only fibergalss game in town for the '04 right now. On mine the fender flares are actually part of the running board. It would look a bit better if the wheels stuck out a bit more, I may look into that. I liked the factory flares but like you thought they looked a tad wimpy...guess I went completely the other direction, huh!

BTW: if anyone out there needs a set of factory flares for an '04 in Az. Beige....I just happen to have a set!

Any internet links for the Bremans or Prestigious?

I saw that the fender flares were part of the RBs. My '97 had fiberglass running boards that were similarly designed. It makes for a nice, flowing look.

My biggest concern with the fiberglass is if it gets hit hard enough to crack, it's difficulty to fix (and probably best to replace, as long as the style is still available).

Thanks,
John

You are right about that repair thing. I've done a few fiberglass repairs on an old Vette and while it's no fun and really messy it's not really difficult...just time consuming.

As far as links, here is one for Prestigious: http://www.prestigious1.com/Fordtruc1.htm

This is Bremen I think: http://www.brementechnologies.com/appguide/rb10.htm#

The shop I go to, Camper City USA, had both and recommend the Bremen's for quality issues.
