OK I can agree that there is a little extra weight there but it can't weigh more than 100 pounds at most. When you have a 4-5k lb truck, where would that come into play?

Also, I was getting 9 before the snow fell and before the accessories were added...

I have a freind at ford that is also a finance manager there were I bought the truck. We have figured that I will let him drive the truck from Tuesday night until Friday morning. ( have have to go out of town) and he lives in town, also. We will compare fuel epa with his driving compared to mine and I will post results next week.

YellowFX4SCrew, sorry to hear the mileage thing is still happening to you. another thing to investigate would be to have the entire fuel system flushed, tank to injectors. if for some reason there are contaminants in your tank (ie sugar in the gas tank or whatever) it can mess up your mileage and your fuel system. suggest it to the dealer and see what they say.

Question

Hey Yeller-

What ever happened with your mileage? I know that you ran another post that said your company was going to pay your mileage for you, but MAN, something has got to give here.

Are you still having problems? And by problems, I mean REALLY poor gas mileage.

Well, nothin' yet.

I have to keep 10 fillups on record with my odometer so they can perform a fuel consumption test. They hooked up their machine and said that I was getting 16 city and 20 highway.

I just filled up yesterday and got 10.15.

At least I got 10 with my first tank full which included about 3 days in 4X4 Low because of snow.
