I had the dealer install the Ford remote start. It has a red flashing light that they installed underneath the steering wheel. Since it was installed by the dealer, it's covered by the 7 year, 60,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty I purchased. Being the first year of production, I went with a longer warranty.
