Best Grill Gaurd for 2004 ?

I have added some enhancement to my FX4, like new mats, extang cover rhino liner. Now it is time for a grill guard. Has anyone bought one yet and which ones are the best

Where'd you get the chrome skid plate and does it protect the power steering cooler.

Thanks Jack

Manik Grill Guard

Go into my gallery and enter the leather photo. There it will show you 16 or so different photos of the grill guard.

If you dont need a full grill guard, or care for the bulk of the bull bar, do a search for 'Waag', and check out their Frontrunner - basically a bumper guard. I've got one and love it (sorry, no pic's posted yet) because it gives me some front end protection, yet doesnt overwhelm what I consider to be the really awesome look of the grill and hood. The pics on their website are of an Expedition, but it does really look good on my truck. If you like it and want a pic, e-mail me and I'll send you one.

The chome plate is part of the bull bar, for some reason Westin doesn't powder coat the skid plate like they do the bar. At first I thought I would be bothered by it but, I have had it on there for over two months and I don't notice it anymore.

The skid plate comes down even with the plastic cowling on the bottom of the bumper and it does not go back under the bumper at all. So no, it does not protect any of the coolers, there is a large open space between the bumper and the factory skid plates.

I will try to take some photo's of it tomorrow afternoon.
