wanted to see if anyone has put these on their truck. 2 days old and already the passenger door has a small chip where it hit "something".

Am looking for what the chrome looks like ideally on another black truck...

AND... does Ford send as a standard touch up paint or did everyone just get it from the dealer?

Well I did the same thing one after I got my scab FX4,so I went to autozone and bought door guards,mine are black,since my scab is charcoal,but they also have chrome. And ford sent me touchup paint in the mail. Door guards look great.

 

I bought the Ford brand edge guards (no photo yet). I went with the black on my Toreador Red/Arizona beige truck. I have not received any touch up paint from Ford as of yet (picked up my truck on 10/03/03). I did get touch up paint with my tonneau cover (ARE) that is a perfect match to the truck.

 

I installed Clear edge guards from AutoZone on all four doors when i bought my truck in May 2001. They are still on and look ok...about the only thing i can say is; they are not as clear as they were when i installed them, but I have no chips on my door edges either...I highly recommend these things.....
