Angry Whistle in Windshield, Patience Stretched Thin

Hello All,
New to this forum but have been reading for a while.

My probem,

On my 04 SuperCrew I have had a problem since I bought it, The problem is that I get the most awful whistle noise from the front windshield. More noticeable when going into a side wind.

I have had it into the Dealership body shop three times and have had nothing but utter failure in trying to get this fixed.

On top of everything else, when they replaced the windshield molding I am now getting a very loud rattling noise from the molding when driving over 70mph. So loud and harsh that it rattles the Rear view mirrors, (Which is another problem, They came all scratched up and I am still waiting for the correct ones.)

Have been waiting since November 3, 2003 to get the correct molding!! As the ones they put on were for a Super Cab and not a Super Crew.

The Dealer Ship is a very good dealership they just keep telling me that parts are hard to come by for this PU.

Patience is over.

Has anybody on this forum had the same problem, and if so what was done to fix it.

Thanks

Cedar

No problem here. How does a whistle come from the Front windshield?? Is it leaking water? A rattle so harsh that it shakes the entire truck seems like it wouldn't be Too hard to pin point. Sure it's not a side window? The front molding should be the same on a regular cab or screw or whatever. It's the same front windshield.

This is weird..

The window molding is different on the 04. The molding goes from the bottom of the windshield all the way to the back of the cab. Hence the problem with the Supercab molding over the SuperCrew molding. Without the molding rattling so bad, the whistle is hard to pin point. They have done pressure tests on the windshield, up to 90 psi, (that is what they told me) no leaks. They have also taped up the windshield, and still cannot find the noise.

I have also done some investigation myself. Taped up the Moonroof, Still whistle's.

I still think the problem is with the molding causing the whistle. I have test drove another SC and no whistle.

Judgeing from the responses on this forum, I stand alone.

Thanks

Cedar

Cedar, my F150 does not make any noises, although, we rented a Mitusbishi Montero a few years back and it made whistling noises at high speeds from the left side of the windshield. It turns out after we returned it to the rental car dealer that the glue holding the windshiled on at the point had degraded and was gone, leaving a gap between the body and windshield.

Dont know if this helps, but could possibly lead to understanding your problem?
