Bought an 04 SCrew!
I broke down, caved. My wife told me just to go buy the damn thing so Id quit obsessing. OK!
The dealer had a FX4 on the lot. Its black on black, grey two-tone and polished step bars. Ive never been a fan of two-tone but the grey is so dark it really does look good. The interior is black leather w/ the captains chairs and moonroof.
All I can say is "WOW", what a piece of engineering. Its a nite and day difference between this and the '00 XLT SC I traded in. If anyones thinking of buying an '04 and hasnt drivin it yet, wait until your ready to sign cause it'll be all over!
Thanks to all on this forum for the insight and info available.

So far so good
It would figure that we'd get dumped on here after I got it. I have to wash it quick, its driving me crazy.
In the snow it was much more predictable than the old '00 SC. The extra weight is noticable, the rear doesnt slip around as much.
So far I only have a couple comments. Ford could have made the turn signal lever a little longer and pushed it away from the steering wheel a little. I'll get used to it, just different than the '00
The plastic floor shifter is a little cheesey, coulda thrown leather around it (aftermarket, are you listening).
And, maybe someone else has asked this, but I could find anything in the search: if your stopped and take your foot off the brake, the truck doesnt move. Is this because of the electronic throttle? Id like a little movement at idle, would make backing in the garage easier!
I'll post some pics as soon as its clean.

I posted that on my first post on this board, my 04 will basically just sit there in drive with the engine running. That was one of the first things I noticed different from my 97 F150, Oh Yeah it has alot more torque too, I can accelerate up the same hills in overdrive that my 97 had to downshift just to maintain speed.
