Im Sorry To Say,

I know it sounds like I'm beating a dead horse to death, but that hitting on my floorboard is getting worse,I even raised my feet off of the floor and could still feel it through the gas petal. I've crawled under the truck and found nothing but the front of a heat shield that might possibly be flapping. Don't know,I also called the service manager and he said he would call ford monday to check with them. Please if any one has any ideas let me know One more question, why does a black dot go on my post? Thanks.

Is it a random flapping or something that seems to be tied to the drivetrain rotation?

Does it happen only when you are turning, or doesn't matter?

Have you got on your creeper and basically checked everything under the truck for something loose?

Have you checked the shocks to ensure they are tight?

If it's in sync with bumps on the road, its more likely a suspension component, if it seems to not correleate, then I would guess it's produced by air, perhaps making one of the P-brake cables hit against the frame rail.

I don't have the same problem but I did have a look under mine the other day. Get on a creeper and look for the fuel filter and fuel lines right under the drivers seat. It must be close to something because it will hit the floorboard if you give it a slight hit with the heel of your hand. The bracket is not real rigid and will move a little. Maybe yours is just a bit closer.

I noticed the fuel lines real close to the floor board to,they are also real close to the ex. system Buuut, I guess ford knows more than me. It does it when I get up to speed, not while I'm going slow. It's starting to bug the s**t out of me.

At speed only when you hit a bump or could it be something flapping in the wind?
