A head on collision at 35 mph with "little or no damage?"

That is amazing. What is a Jersey Barrier? It must be lighter than an oak tree. LOL.

I was in an offest crash with my '98 not two months ago (going 15MPH), and all that happened was the driver's side of the bumper got pushed up and a very small piece of the upper portion of the bumper got chipped off. The worst of the whole accident wasn't even near the impact point at all, it was the numerous scratches all across my beautiful hood from his shattered passenger window. That stuff ripped thru my paint down to the metal like a hot knife thru butter. Ugh.

I had to cut about 2 inchs of the black plastic off the very bottom of the bumper, because when I would make a hard right the tire would rub up against it and make a loud rubbing noise. That, and a little bit of Silver Frost Clearcoat touch-up paint to the little chunk of missing bumper, and you can hardly tell it's been in an accident unless you really look for awhile from dead front and think, "Wait a sec, the bumper looks a little pushed in on the right." Or, of course, you're a Ford Truck fanatic like myself!

My point is, very little damage.

Same as when some little car ran into my driver's side FlareSide step and sort of lodged it's front bumper underneath my truck. The Silver Two-Tone paint was marred, it rubbed off a little of that clear sticker protectant thing Ford puts there at the fender flares, and made sort of a crease there in the Silver Two-Tone section under the step as well. A little touch-up paint and it looks ok, although it's actually more noticable than the offset crash I had. Go figure.

So if the '04's are THAT much better, than all I can say is, "
Sweeeeeeeeeet!".
