Wind noise

How is the wind noise in the new F150? Like to hear from you new owners.

My '04 SCab is much better than my '01 SCab. The '01 seemed to get alot of road/wind noise from the bottoms of the doors - the seals weren't nearly as good.

The '04 has some wind noise, but overall is much quieter. The huge mirrors are bound to create some noise, IMO.

At the market research group I went to this past weekend (see other thread) this was brought up. Overall, everyone was pleased with how quiet the 04 is, but that there was still some wind noise. IMO, it is very minimal for such a huge truck. This is the only thing you hear, which is alot less than any other truck. I agree with the previous post. The mirrors are like air brakes sticking out. They have to be creating some of it.

The noise (including from wind) in the cab of my '04 SCrew is dramatically less than that in my '01 SCrew which I traded in. There still is some noise, but it's a truck with those big side mirrors. You can't expect complete silence.

I took my brother-in-law for a ride, and he couldn't believe how quiet it was, even at 95 MPH (on a private road near my parents' house - safety first!), compared to his 2000 F-150. He's now trying to convince my sister that they need an '04 F-150!!

I don't have a previous truck to compare it to, but coming from a convertible mustang, you can imagine the difference in noise. I'm very content with my new truck... I love it !

The quiet of the '04 is much improved over my '97 Scab 3-door. When detailing the '04 recently, I was impressed with the door seal and the fit of extra gaskets to the redesigned door frame contours that minimize road/wind roar.
