Has anyone noticed the motor getting louder or is it just me getting use to it? I got it with 3.8 miles on it, now it has 1100 miles.

Oh Yeah, this is the nicest handling truck I've ever driven.

I have not noticed that on my truck, but according to quite afew posts on this board, the engine should get stronger once you get up to 1000 miles or so.

Now that you mention it, I noticed that once I passed 1000 the engine does sound "louder" sort of. I think I'd use the term "ballsier" rather than louder, though. I could feel a difference in the power now that I'm through the breakin period.

that is so weird because i have 1300 miles now and put 340 on over the weekend. i too thought the truck seemed louder this weeekend.......

i was told there is a breakin period programmed into the drive by wire logic, but that it ran till 300 miles, maybe it run's till 1000. but why more noise?????
hmmmmm

i pulled a johndeer tractor on a trailer ( 600 lbs) and really notice noise under load. sounded ok though. but louder than i expected. this was the first time towing with this one. i had a 2001 before this

That is a good description Zeusalicious.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Got 1194 miles on mine, and it runs noticeably better than when I got it. I believe it does have a better exhaust tone.
Got in it earlier today 40F sea level low humidity, felt strong but still real deceptively smooth.
