Extra fees?
wow--great rates---I got a lot saved and was putting alot down with my vehicle---so i am going to try to swing that big payment---do you know who he got it financed with?? was it through ford, and is it a regional deal or not?? thanks
I just read over at another site that some dealerships are charging 5000 over, doesn't suprise me but I just hate that. I hope no is going to pay it, there are too many dealerships to get stuck. The trucks will just sit there and someone will get the idea that they aren't selling when its just a greedy dealership.

Extra Fees...
This fee for $295 for advertising is a joke. We have an marketing service charge. This fee is NOT passed on to the customer. They need to advertise these vehicles in order to sell them to begin with. That's part of what they do. I wouldn't pay the fee. If they say it is non - negotiable I would say thanx for your time but no thanks. Get up and walk out. I know WE would not let you walk for $296.
As far as the Gas fee, I would end up doing the same thing. These guys get money from everywhere that you don't know about and these monies aren't passed on to the customer. They can afford to give up $341 in fees.
If they say that they aren't making any money on this deal, tough. If they weren't making any money they would not be open for business. I would walk and find a dealer who would sell me that exact truck for the price - $341. There are plenty of them out there. If you say "Well, it's only $341." then think: of approx. 64,737 F-Series units sold last month (lets say half have these fees you are refering to.) Then Ford just made an extra $11,037,658.50 last month. (But keep in mind they are NOT making any money on this deal.)

I told the dealer up front that I will only pay invoice minus rebates for a truck. I also mentioned that I won't stand for any games.
I almost walked out with the truck I wanted except that it several states away and I didn't want to pay extra for the transfer.

I plan on purchasing a new 2004 within the next 2 weeks. Can one of you please tell me how I can obtain a PIN so I can use the X-Plan to purchase this vehicle???
Do you have to be an employee or associate to obtain one?

when buying a new car or truck....
EVERYTHING is negotiable.
If you are firm enough and tell the dealer "no way, Xplan price is Xplan price" they can take the sale or leave it. The dealer still makes money when they sell at invoice.
And if the dealer doesnt like that... every other Ford dealer in the world accepts Xplan pricing as this is a Ford corporate initiative for their employees.

these prices are already on the invoices, and then you get the x-plan or a-plan discounts--on the ford credit sites, if you build a truck, and then you find the exact same truck at a dealer---with the same exact MSRP--the invoice price of the truck is always about $345 more ---also the site used to have the A Plan price and it was the same--I would build the exact same truck that a lot would have, and their would be about $340-350 difference---I got my order sheet for my truck and it had the difference being $346---I dont see how you can get out of it---If you can please tell me--but it looks to be on there and then you get the discount from everything totaled, including the fdaf and gas---
I bought an 2004 Lightning 2 weeks ago on an X-Plan that I got here. Each dealer that I negotiated with supplied me with the required X-Plan sheet. Each sheet had the vehicle charges and a $46 gas charge. They filled my truck up with almost $40 worth of premium. None of the sheets had any other charges. In 25 years of buying cars and trucks, I've never paid any advertising fee. In Texas, on the vehicle sales receipt there is a pre-printed $50 documentation fee which they informed me that they could not collect under X-Plan as well.
