If you get heated mirrors, you don't need rear defrost.

I'm on my second truck with a power slider. No way I'll ever get a truck without it again! The rear window does defrost pretty quick if you point the vents on the flow through console towards the rear glass. My 2007 defrosts the windows really quick compared to my 2005 and older F-150's.
