Hankook Tires

Just got my new XLT F150 Saturday. Surprised to find that it had a tire name I had never heard of--Hankook. Anyone know anything about these tires? I know that they are made in Korea and that Ford has made them OEM for certain trucks. Trying to decide whether to get them changed or not.

Local tire dealer has been selling them for 2 years now , claims they are very good , with very few problems.

You've never heard of hancook? They're pretty darned big. I wouldn't change 'em unless you've got a 4x4 and want a more aggressive tread.

I have heard from non-tire dealers to stay away from Hancook tires.

With what reasoning? I'm curious, because I've never heard anything bad about them....

Mine is comming with the same tires. I chose this only because I had planned on upgrading to 18 inch wheels. I have seen them and they seem fine, though I prefer the white letter tires.
I got a killer deal on some 18 inchers off a lariat with the BF Goodrich Rugged Trail TA (275/65/18) $395+160 shipping these had less than 50 miles on them. I am seeing these go for over $600 + shipping. If you decide to go with new tires I would suggest taking your time and finding a good deal on some take offs

Anybody want my set of 17 inch w/hankooks ?CHEAP!!!!

Depends - how cheap you talking --- my girl goes to school in Tampa and I'm over there enough... wouldn't hurt to have some spares

Make an offer...
I should have the truck in a few weeks.... Acually it is at the dealer now. They messed up the paperwork so it still sits...
I think they are worth a good $200.00(rims and tires). They will only have about 15 mile or less depending on how many miles are on it when i get it. Im 6 miles from the dealership

That sounds reasonable... How far are you from the campus of USF?
