2004 Heritage

Ok...I am picking up my new 04 Heritage XL (I am salavating even though its just a couple days away) but wanted to get your opinion on what I'm getting as far as pricing. I still have time to back out, although I'm pretty sure I got a good deal!

04 Heritage XL 4wd supercab (styleside)
16" alum wheels
A/C
Chrome bumpers
4.6L V83.31 ratio reg axle
elec 4sdp auto o/d
auto windows
Sliding rear
stereo w/cd

Pretty basic as far as options but, I can pick this up for 22k....thoughts???

If you like the truck and believe in your heart it will do what you plan to do, the price is mute. Just be sure it's what you want, if you've got a family, involve them.

There hasn't been much talk about the hold-over Heritage models. I hope they're being built with the same quality as when they were the current line, and not being neglected by the hoopla of the new design series.

Personally, in my opinion, the 4.6 will be a little weak pushing the 4x4 with only a 3.31 rear end. You should get decent mileage, and that in itself is a worthy token. If you're living in flat-lands and not pulling a trailer, you'll be OK.

Not bad, but why not just opt for a 2003 (most dealers still have some) and pay another $4-5k less?

Guess I was just really looking for the 04 models I believe the 04 was between 24k-25k invoice and we were able ,through some errors in bargaining on their part, that we were able to push them as low as 22k and I went for it believing that this was the best possible price.

When I looked around 4X4 supercabs on the 03 seemed to run between 20k-22k depending where you looked...not sure I could have gotten lower...maybe another 500 below invoice.

I wont be towing with this truck , just basic hauling, the payload will be low...

Can't wait!!

You do realize the heritage model is the old body style, not the new one.

It's my body style...

You will have to look more, but you will be able to get a cheaper one than an 04.

You're getting a GREAT deal on a V8 4wd truck! I personally like the 97-04 style better myself. Enjoy!
