Took my 04 Off Road in the Dunes! (pics)
So in my gallery there is an album of pics from the dunes. I took my 04 out to Glamis this weekend with some friends. I must say the 04 handles very well in the dunes especially for a completely stock truck. No problem climbing the dunes and I didn't even air down the tires. You'll notice in one pic I am kickin up lots of sand. If I was aired down it would have just plowed through. Even still, it was no problem. I love this truck. I can't wait to lift it and get bigger meats. The suspension did great in the whoops where my buddy's Z71 had trouble. He had to go slower than me in the whoops because he was bottoming out. That's what you get when you only tweak the torsion bar to lift it. Not enough suspension travel. I suspect this would be the case if I only used Daystar spacers to lift mine. It's the same Cheby that got high centered (pics in the gallery).
When all was said and done I was very very proud of my stock truck hanging with all the others. Great truck for off roading. Never felt the need for any more power. Never got stuck either. Enjoy the pics.

Excellent! I missed out on the dunes up here in Michigan this year but I'll be there early next spring when they reopen. But I got a another little place where we get a little dirty from time to time. Check it out. http://www.glfwda.org/mounds.htm It's a muddy place so getting out and taking pics sucks because you gotta get back in the nice clean interior.
