I knew you could get an XL, STX, XLT, FX4 and a Lariat, but now they have a "Lariat FX4".

At least mine is. I picked up what I thought was an FX4 as ordered. Upon the first trip around the truck for the pre-signing inspection, I noticed it has a Lariat front fender badge. Only on one side though. Apparently the guy installing the emblems reached in the wrong box. So I got an FX4 with one Lariat emblem.

Dealer asked, well what do you want to do about it?
I said, I'd like it corrected! So now they are looking into getting it changed. I guess they are drilled through the fender. Hopefully the same holes will work with the right emblem.

But other than that, it's flawless. No typical engine tap, no limited slip vibration, no accelerator lag ( so far ).

Without a doubt, this truck is incredible. Never rode in such a comfortable, quiet cab. I guess it's time to change my screen name to reflect my new toy. Pics tomorrow.

I'll bet the assembly line worker who did the badging on your truck at Kansas City was a recent transferee from the Norfolk plant.

 

Maybe it will be worth more as a one-of-a-kind. Sort of like a 35 cent mis-printed stamp from the post office that turned in to thousands $. Keep it.

 

Not uncommon, we get F-350's with F-250 tailgate emblems on occasion and they have alignment holes drilled, and that makes it easier to switch to the right emblems.
