It has been 9 weeks since i ordered my 2004 f150 fx4 scab. I am getting a little upset because 9 weks is a long time to wait considering they told me when i ordered it it would be 4-6 weeks. I was told friday it might be in on 11/15 but it was a no show. Now it is almost wed. and the dealer has no clue where it is. Is there anybody else having this problem?

Yeah, you could say that!

First off, welcome to the site.

Secondly, you are not alone. Many have been waiting longer. Much longer.

There are a couple of members here who can run your VIN through the system and give you the status of your truck. Just post a new topic asking for a "VIN check", post your VIN, and one of these kind souls will probably respond by tomorrow morning. That is, of course, if you know your VIN. If not, your dealer should be able to provide that for you.

thanks a lot for your help. I do have a vin #and i will give it a try and i would like to say good luck to all of you that have waited longer than me i dont know how your doing it. I am going crazy i do not have anything to drive except my girlfriends car and thats getting old. All i can say all this waiting is driving me to (drink).

 

I'm going on 6 weeks. Mine will be built on Dec 1 which is 10 weeks after ordering. If it arrives 3 weeks later, I will have waited 13 weeks, so 9 isn't bad, especially if it's already been built.

 

My dealer told me 4 to 6 weeks as well, and I'm on week 10. I knew from following this board that he was blowing smoke and automatically told myself 8 to 10 weeks. I'm just hoping it arrives before the snow does because I don't want to spend $ on much needed new tires for my '97 right before trading it off.

 

This is week 14. Order FX4 Screw on 8/21. Submitted to plant on 11/13. Build date 12/8. Figure 2 to 3 weeks for shipping.
Total wait 19 to 20 weeks.

dealer and ford can not find any paperwork, and offer no words of encouragement on when it will come in.
We go on vacation in 4 weeks and, of course, wish to drive it.
Cab dealers say it will take 3 weeks to order cap for it.

We go tonight to look at what is on lots in the area. forddirect inventory seems way out of wack with what dealers are saying are on the lots.

The dealership was still clueless as to where the Screw was that we ordered through them this afternoon, so we visited another lot and picked up a better one.

5.4 xlt screw, goodies, etc 4*4. Grey metalic.

Now to try to get back my deposite from the first dealership. They knew I would not have ordered if they hadn't promised an 8 week delivery.

then we head to get a Leer cap and Rino bedliner.
Then on to Florida for the winter.

We hadn't planned on a 4*4, but now we'll have to see if granny can offroad!
