Radio Volume Spike

Has anyone noticed the volume getting louder for about half a second on their radio when approaching a stop. This doesn't happen regularly, just every once in a while. I'm wondering if it is something to do with the speed dependent volume sensing. It always happens when approaching a stop and I am just barely moving. I have an FX4 with the Audiophile 6 disc. The speed volume is set on 2.

Yeah me too.

Any Ford employees, could this be a reflash issue like the outside temp problem?

Annoying in an otherwise great truck.

Just checking to see if anybody has looked into this problem further. I've turned off the speed volume on my stereo because I found it the spikes to be annoying. For me they happened on take-off and switching from park to reverse or vice versa. It's easy to fix by just turning off the feature and it seems too minor an issue to bring up as a warranty complaint, but it at the same time, it should work as promised.

Yes I have had this happen with my truck also, just when stoping, and not all the time! Really makes me jump sometimes!
If ford has a sollution, I would get it fixed.

I also have the 6disc audiophile.

Yup,

Same problem here with the 6-disc audiphile system. Very intermittent. I don't think there's any chance of duplicating it at the dealer. I can see the ticket now...road tested, unable to duplicated customer claimed symptom, no problem found.

Is it audiophile only?

I have the 6 disc and no audiophile, and haven't noticed it. Anyone have the problem who does not have the Audiophile option?

Mine has done this maybe three times in 13k miles. Not much of a problem for me yet, but if it started happening every day I'd get tired of it pretty quick.
