04 vs 01 pull off!!

so my buddy has a lifted 2001 f150 and swears that he could pull my 04 fx4 around (both 4wd and regular cabs, 5.4Ls). so we hook our hitches up in the dirt and put it 4wdL and go.......what happens.......the first time i pulled him like nothing ........the second time same results.......the third time his front drive shaft twisted and snapped.......holy ***** these new f150s got some pulling power. allthough he is lifted his gears and everything have been adjusted acordingly, he has intake exhaust... me stock just thought id brag a little

Congrats. Does he have sucky tires? Pulloffs prove nothing, just little fun.

i have to assume his tires are good if they provided enough traction to snap his driveshaft. . . Of course i've never tried it before, i could be way wrong.

I believe the reason he snapped his front axle was becouse you were useing 4 weel drive on dry pavement which you are not supposed to do. especially under the extreme sercumstances you mentioned. you were lucky you didn't snap your front driveline. if I were to do a pull off like that I would definitely do it in two wheel drive. unless I was on a dirt road or in the snow.
