Does the Ford branded soft tonneau cover have the Ford logo embossed on the cover? The one I had for my 2000 did not but a guy I talked to at a local Ford parts department said the ones for the 04 did.

I've sen the Ford cover on a 2004 and the Ford logo is not embossed. It's just on a small tag sewn into the edge by the rails. It should be just about the same as on your 2000.

 

Jeeps is correct. It is a sewn in tag. If you need PIX let me know and I will take some.

I guess I need to decide whether to purchase the Ford branded cover (IMO the quality of the Ford branded cover, at least based on the one I had, does not take a second chair to any of them out there - I wonder who actually makes it) or the Truxedo or Access type cover. I like the concept and function of Truxedo & Access covers but (and no offense to anyone who has these) the ones I have seen installed just do not look to fit flush to the bed rails & tail gate & the rear corners do not look finished out. For anyone who has one of these installed on an 04, how is the fit? Any wrinkels at the corners? Does the material set flush on the bed rails so you do not see the hardware or is there a gap?

some pics would be good i could compare it to my cartec cover that i had on my lightning i think the cartec and the ford are very similar also whats the best place other than a dealer to buy ford covers and bed matts online store ??
