speed signal for Navigation

VSS Wire Color: GRAY/BLACK
VSS Pulse: 8000
VSS Tach Wire: LOCATION 11 OR 12- POSITION 48 OR 78 OF 104 PIN CONNECTOR
Tach Signal Wire Color: TAN/YELLOW OR PINK/WHITE
Brake Switch Positive: GREEN/RED
Brake Switch Negative: GREEN

Red04, Is there more than one place that you know of to tap into these wires other than at the column turn signal harness? I'm lookin for an easy place to tap into these, but it looks like that wont be the case.
I don't know about the 2004 models, but in the earlier year trucks some had speed sensitve volume option on the head unit. I recall one member using this wire that ran to the back of the head unit as the vss for hooking up a navigation unit. Do some searches and see what you find.
I found one source that said there was a speed signal in a grey wire with black stripe that was in the rear of the head unit. Not sure if thats so, but i would be willing to give it a chance. Know of any way to test this wire?

I have the Audiophile too and I will be hooking mine up today as well. Let me know if you should have any problems. I will post some pics tonight. I'm also installing a Trenz billit grill (upper and lower) and a daystar lift on my white SCREW Lariat. I also have a Snugtop SS on order.
