Well, from what I have read in the other threads, Kansas City has been working on every other Saturday I believe since the middle of this month to deal with the overflow. I havenīt heard about the holds for the chrome running boards but there definitely has been problems with the LT tires and the two tone trucks plus the screws began production later than the scabs. BigSherm....if you got a build date you surely would have been given a VIN when it was picked for production and the lack of would have to have something to do with your dealer. I am told that they assign the vins first and then do the scheduling. The key here is everyone will tell you a time but I wouldnīt be to sure of it. Mine has been ordered and I havenīt heard a peep till this week and apparently it has been "pushed through" by Ford regional so I am told I will have a vin by next Tuesday but am sure it will be still several weeks before it is in the driveway. The dealers have been as frustrated as I since they would like to generate some numbers but as my salesman said "all we can do is hurry up and wait." Hang in there. I know it is hard but allocations work in a wierd sort of way sometimes. Plus, I personally donīt want to rush things too much since I have heard more than once that the two tone process has had some "quality issues" with the painting process. A friend of mine graduated from grad school with me and works for Ford in Detroit and told me that they are having problems with the F150 and Rangers so I would rather they straighten all of that out before it gets to me.
