EDR Disable ?

EDR Disable ?

I just got my truck this week and was wondering if there is a way to turn off the event data recorder.I dont need big brother watching me anymore than he already is.

No. it is built into the air bag module.
It only recordes when the air bags go
off in an accident.If it is turned off the
air bags wont work.By the way,it probabley
will take a court order to get the info. from
your truck.

Nothing wrong with that. If you are doing the right thing then you got nothing to worry about. Some people whom try to get over need devices like this to keep things honest. I personally like the fact that there is a device recording operational information and I don't think a court order should be required to make this info available. My opinion and that's just the way it is............

Nope, I intned to keep it for when I sell the vehicle so I can pull the system I have now. Plus I'm not sure the Audiophile is of any use to anyone who didn't have it installed at the factory.
