daystar lit installed...wow
BFG TA KO 285-65-R18's installed this afternoon...look awesome. Got in after dark but will try to get pics updated tomorrow if possible. Handling still seems very good. The jury is still out on the verdict...slight vibration at slow speeds coming home today with the new tires...May be the more aggressive tread...I will take it in to check the allignment tomorrow morning...could be off slightly due to the lift (mechanic suggested allignment check also). I'm not sure how long the lift install actually took...but from talking to the guy when he was done, it didn't seem like something to do yourself in the driveway on a Saturday with a buddy. Specialized tools ware required (spring compressor, ect).

Ive been watching ebay for the past 15-20 or so days and finally found a daystar lift kit for $125. I was able to "buy it now" and it should be getting to me within the week. Now all I need is my truck!!!
Bigsherm...I will take some pics of the 33"(285-65-R18 BFG TAKO) in extreme R and L turn positions and measure the avaliable room...I assume until someone mounts the 35's we won't know for sure.

That looks great, being level. But I think I would rather lower the rear end because I don't like the look of the front wheel well with another 2 + inches above the tire.
I dont off-road, but I do need to get through the snowy New England winters, and lowering the rear end won't have any affect there.
just my .02. Again, it looks great. I really like the aggressive look of the tire thread leaning over the side wall of the tire.

The stock Goodyear Wrangler AT/S 275-65-18's were 10.9" wide and 32" tall and the BFG TA KO 285-75-18's are 11.5" wide and 32.8" tall....info per www.tirerack.com. I haven't done anything with the speedo...it shouldn't be off by much. 32.8/32 x 60mph = 61.5 mph

Hay bigsherm77 I have no doubts 35's will fit. with my 33's there is about 1.25 inch clearance at the closest point as I rotate the tires. this is without the lift in yet. this tells me that 35's should fit without the lift. but it would be close. now ad the lift which I believe will only add a 1/4 inch or so to that clearance sence it is not above the tire but behind it where it is closest. ant that lift will not ad alot to that I don't think. bmcqueen you should measure the closest your 33's get to the trim with the lift in. it would be interesting to know. you will have to rotate your tires a little at a time to get to the closest point that is what I did. turning them at there sharpest point isn't the closest point.
