daystar lit installed...wow

Man what a difference...I had a local shop do the install today and just drove it back to work. I didn't notice any difference in handling yet...Will do some highway driving tomorrow and really put it through the ringer. The kit cost me 120.00 and the install 150.00 (yea...I know but it's worth it) I posted 2 quick pics in my gallery and will take some more asap. The truck measured about .25" high in back...basically level. I am getting BFG TA KO 285-65-18's put on tomorrow then it will be picture time...I will keep you posted.

Sharp truck. So how much did it lift the front? The advertised amount?

Top of well measurements are 39.75 on back and 39.5 on front...previous measurement on front well was 37.25...2.25 increase in height.

Okay, the ruler says that there is a small difference between the front and the back... But to the eye, it really looks like they are even exactly. I'm more than impressed! Thanks for posting the pictures!! It's certainly something I will keep in mind for when I get a new truck.

Cheers.

That looks a lot better. I'm sure those 33 inch BFG's are gonna look sweet. When I installed the Daystar spacers on my Jeep, I really didn't notice any difference in ride quality. Maybe a little stiffer. Similar to cranking up the torsion bars a little on my Screw.

We will see tomorrow but the tire store didn't seem too interested in giving me any credit on a swap for the 285-65-18 bfg ta ko's and the GY AT-S...no other market really for the 18" at-s except the 150's...not one BFG dealer in Memphis had the new size 285's...custom order from regional warehouse in Arkansas which only had 4. Needless to say they are VERY proud of them. Thinking of going black side out since the 18" don't show as much rubber...the solid lettering seems to crowd the sides a bit.

I agree, black letters out. Plus, white letters are a pain to keep clean.
