Further searches and I'm reading that this is/was called a G.A.P. grille....an aftermarket piece. The only thing I know is that this guy did not add it after the fact....maybe the dealer he bought his from places them on all of their trucks?

Weird....

First of all, HOLY SEARCHING UP THE OLD THREAD BATMAN!

Second of all, the 04s and 05s have the hole that ford forgot. Aftermarket will remedy this.

Unfortunately in Ohio, it is required by law to have a front license plate.
