Anybody heard anything about the availability of a Navigation system coming anytime soon? I'd wait another year before I get my new truck, if they have one coming. If you've never used one, they are great.

No idea about factory. But you can definately get something nice after market. There are all kinds of aftermarket units. Probably the best thing to do is to replace the factory stereo with a unit with a built in display and then buy the nav system that hooks up to that. Kenwood, Pioneer and Alpine all have similar options in this category. The Kenwood and Pioneer systems are touch screen.

someone mentioned using the one out of the Navigator (03, 04) in another thread. Not sure if the opening is the same, but its an option to consider if you do not want to wait.

That's what I said. I think the Navigators Navigation System is good coice, especially since it already comes with a in dash 6 CD Changer.

I am thinknig seriously of adding after market NAV...

Can a current Lariat SCREW owner tell me what it looks like under the front seats of the captains chairs?

Does it looks like a DVD navigation unit could mount under one seat and a new 6 disk changer could mount under the other? (after market would require yanking indash unit)

Thanks!

Forget it you aren't going to be mounting anything under the front seats. At least without blocking the air to the reat seats.

However, if you have the flow through console you have tons of room to mount stuff out of the way in there. Which is what you would want for a DVD nav unit. No idea where you could put the changer, maybe if you don't have the sub under the back seats that would be a good option.
