%^*%^& Dealer salesperson!!
%^*%^& Dealer salesperson!!
Arrrrgghhh, after telling me on Monday that my truck build date was TBD (to be determined) which was after BigMacFx told me my status (see below), I get a call from her this morning telling me my truck was at the rail head and should be in this afternoon. So I run around to my credit union and My wife's credit union and to the bank to take care of the down payment so I could go by the dealer on the way home and take care of paperwork. When I get there, she tells me Oh, your truck is at the rail head, but I dont know WHERE. OMG..... I was FINE before she called. Oh well what can you do. Geez, this dealer has a LOT OF '04 150's of every type and color, JUST NOT MINE. I gotta do like Guigster and get away from this board, Im going CRAZY.

It's hard. As you see, I'm back on it this morning. I will take the weekend off and hope I can restrain myself on Monday. But now I'm afraid if I don't look, I might miss some important information.
Don't feel bad, Mallen. I went through the same thing. I received my dates and info from the good people in this forum before my dealer ever had a clue about it.
Here's my story (bear with it):
My truck shipped from the KC plant on 9/8 heading for the train yard. When I found out, I called my dealer to let him know what's happening. He said "ok, I'll keep an eye out for it in the system." I called him a couple days later and he said it's scheduled to arrive at the train yard on 9/16. Well, from there, they lost the truck ! Said it was checked in at the train yard but didn't know where it was, exactly ... So, from 9/17->9/20 I was bugging the hell out of him... showing up at the dealer, asking "where's my truck", etc... He said they would send a porter to pick it up at the train yard as soon as they can. I told him I didn't want anyone driving my truck.
So, on 9/20, he called me and said my truck will come in tonight (Sat.) or early Sun... and later that day he said it was there, but I couldn't take it home until Mon. (9/22), because they need to prep it and the service dept. isn't working on weekends. I went to the dealer on Sun. (9/21) to complete the paperwork and whatnot... to get that out of the way so I can simply drive off on Monday. When they handed the invoice to me (I was A-Plan), it had a "check-in" date stamp on it that was dated 9/18.... and they said, "oh, well, sometimes we get the invoice before the vehicle arrives so we know what's coming in". I said "NO WAY ! Doesn't the invoice stays with the vehicle?... and you should already know what's coming in because you ordered it".
To make a long story short, my truck was sitting on their lot for almost 3 days before he knew it was there. To his defense, though, he was on vacation for the first part of that week... and nobody else was looking out for me.
