Talking SuperCrew Found!

Hi All,

Well I found one I like on the lot, had some extra things I didn't want, like Dual Media Radio (CD&Cassette), Sliding Rear Window, Flow-thru console and power driver seat. Oh well. Still a really nice truck even if I didn't want to spend quite that much money.

The salesman and I had put together the exact truck I wanted and he was going to order it for me. When the salesman showed the sales manager the order he said "Look in the back row".

And there it was. I thought order and wait 6-8 weeks, I have trouble waiting, or buy this one and have it now.

Everybody knows what I did.

Here are the pics:

Best Regards

Michael

Not a bad looking truck, but its hard to tell from the pics.

IMHO, if you are TOTALLY not into it, I would order. This way you get EXACTLY what you want. Its worth the wait IMHO, than to rather buy it now and then say I wish I got this or that when you see someone else's.

My .02 cents.

Man, that's a beautiful truck. Get it you will love it. As long as you are getting more than you were getting before, I think you will be very happy. Take it to the track and run 1/4 and post some times for us. Good luck!!!!!!!:

I think I might have given the wrong impression about my '04 SCrew, I am into it!

I can't believe how quiet and smooth it is and "fit and finish" is fantastic!

Going back to the dealer today for the paint sealant, fabric protectant and undercoating, here in the NE we have acid rain, acid bird s**t and "lots" of road salt and grit, want to keep my baby NEW!

Does anybody have an opinion on exhaust stacks, like on the Dodge "Little Red Truck"? Eventually I want to put a cat-back system on the truck and I always thought the LRT looks way cool with the stacks. I never saw a '97 up with stacks, but I see plenty of pre '97s with them. Any pics?

After reading the posts, I am going with a Line-X spray in bedliner.
I always had the drop in liners and didn't like way grit would get under them and abrade the paint.

Best Regards

Michael

You b@stard! That looks like the same thing I've been waiting for for weeks! Exterior is exactly what I ordered. Tell me if any of these options are in your truck:

40/20/40 Black Sport, Cloth Split Bench
Audiophile
Moonroof
Deluxe Mirror Package

Well pumper, I am definitely jealous. The exterior is exactly what I ordered and other than having leather, it sounds like it has the other options also. Makes the wait even harder! That truck looks awesome.

I guess I am in line with the rest of them. I ordered my True blue/Shadow Gray 3 months ago. Should be in this week or early next week. So of course I love your truck. I do have a comment on the sealant though, I have worked with several different awesome auto paint folks and they all say "BIG WASTE OF MONEY" . Go to Pep boys or ABC and buy you some sealant and go to town. Nothing lasts more than a few months in my opinion anyway. Save the cash man!

Sweet Truck

Hi Guigster,

I have the Deluxe mirror package and I love it! Nice BIG mirrors and I used the defrost today, 34F, and they work fine.

Hi Clarkn,

Thanks for the tip! When I went to drop it off today I told them to only do the undercoating, I'll get some sealant and scotchgard at Pep Boys and save $350. I don't mind paying for the undercoating 'cause I have no lift and spraying undercoating while laying on the ground is not my idea of fun. Just have to clean out the drain holes when they're done. They're also going to pinstripe the truck.

For all you guys waiting, when you get YOUR truck it will be worth the wait!

Best Regards

Michael

You might consider plugging the drain holes with corks or something (like they do with powdercoating) before you have them spray. Saves you some work later.

Thumbs up Shweet

Almost identical to the one I ordered. Mines not 2-tone though.

Mines loaded with leather, 6 disk CD, power everything etc. The only thing I didn't get was the moonroof which I'm kind of regreting now......

Did the dealer put those tires on? I've read some posts about the Goodyears (after I ordered them) so I'm a little worried now.

It's been 3 days since I ordered it, I hope it doesn't take 12 weeks cuz it's killing me already.

Harm...Living in Cali as well, you...well, I don't want to sound like a ****, but living in Cali should automatically require you to have the moonroof.

Imagine driving to Vegas in your badass truck with the sun hitting your face like a wisp of cute little wind acting all crazy like it had something better to do...Ahhh........

My GF thinks I'm nuts the way I make her come with me to look at the 2004's at our local dealerships. I keep telling myself, "May's not too far...May's not too far..."

My wife is the same way. Every time we go by one near our house now, I pull in to go look at them. She just sits in the car now while I go look. She gets a nice 20 minute nap out of the deal.

Guigster, you made me chuckle. I do exactly the same thing with my wife! If we happen to be near the dealership I just have to go by and have a look at all the beautiful trucks sitting there. Waiting until around the middle of next year to get one is going to be hell but it could be worse...I could be not getting one at all!

Cheers.

I agree, but I think we all understand the difficulty explaining subtleties like this to a wife or girlfriend. I barely got my wife to come to the lot with me to buy the thing. When I told the salesman I wanted the sunroof I got a dirty look and a pbbfffttt.....It's hard to take the high ground when you're already spending 38K (well 32K with my discount )
