On the top of the cab just in front of the brake/bed light. Which is where the cable goes into the truck. The advantage of this location is it avoids having to drill or run through door openings...

As far as clearance the Sirius antenna I have is the Terk Ultra Low profile which ads all of 3/4 of an inch to my height. Which brings my truck to a shade under 6 foot 5 inches (6' 4.3" but the extra is a buffer...)

Sure do have the Reverse Sensing system and it works just fine. It uses the same speakers as the door alerts, light alerts etc...

Ohh one more thing on the reverse sensing thing. This should be obvious. But you obviously lose the stereo turning the volume down when the reverse sensor activates and turning it back up when done. But I don't really see this as an issue. I usually am not going to have my stereo up so loud I can't hear the reverse sensor beeps when I'm backing up.

What audible differences have you noticed with your upgrade? Also, do you plan on replacing the factory drivers...if you haven't already done so?

I didn't change the head unit to get audible differences. Actually sound is worse than with the stock unit right now, but only because I don't currently have my sub hooked up. As soon as wiring harnesses are available or someone figures out how to wire it in direct, I'll have it back.

Primarly, I replaced the head unit to get navigation and sattelite radio. So I have no intentions at this time to replace anything else.

breser,

Just like to say nice rided. Truck Looks Sweet. When you put the new head unit in did you lose stereo controls on the steering wheel.

Thanks.

Yes I did. If I can get a wiring diagram I can get them back. In the meantime I have the remote control that comes with the stereo which is almost as good.

It's probably a good thing. With the on stearing wheel controls I was turning into a real channel flipper. Driving everyone with me nuts.
