Well it was a long wait but I get to go pick mine up tomorrow and I know I wont sleep tonight. I will take some picks while there(which is 250 miles from where I live). If anyone wants to see the pics let me know it is a supercab FX4 flareside in white with all the options but leather and moonroof. I will take lots of pictures when I get home on monday.

Yes I agree I like that tail gate. I am not that crazy about the tail lights though I liked the prevous model flareside tail lights better. I guess I will have to find me some aftermarket tail light covers I like.

lanceparkhurst,

Please post some pictures!! I would love to see it in white!
The truck is the last thing I think about before I go to bed and the first thing I think about in when I wake up. Do I have a sickness?? I think I have F-150 fever.

Thanks for the pictures bigsherm77! They were great.

Hey Arctic Cat F7 I have some pictures of a white flareside in my gallery already that my father sent me to help ease the wait. Man that is awfully fast to have it built on monday and arrive at the dealer thursday afternoon. I was thinking sometime next week at the earliest and now all my plans are shot cause I have to go to kc to get this thing. Just kidding wouldn't want to be doing anything else. I'll post some new pictures this afternoon I'll take my camera and laptop.

Try this not sure what is going on. If this doesn't work I pick mine up at 4:00 so I'll post some of it later tonight if I can or tomorrow.

Sorry for the wait but I can't seem to let the truck sit for more than 10 minutes before I want to go for another drive. I have updated my gallery with some pictures from last night and this morning labeled My 2004 FX4 check em out. The best thing is that when I picked it up last night I drove home and it was around 300 miles on about a half tank, so I filled it up this morning and figured the gas mileage at right below 17 mpg. This is on a truck that had 20 miles on it before I left so it should get better. At about 80 it is turning just shy of 2000 rpm. That was with all the varying of speed and rpm that they say you should do for awhile. Let me know if there is anything that you would like a picture of.

interesting gas mileage. do you have the 3.55 rear end or the 3.73. if you have the 3.55 I suspect you will have good highway gas mileage but not so good city gas mileage.

I ordered the 3.73(wouldn't own the 3.55s) gears and that is what it says on the window sticker. I was starting to think that maybe they put the wrong gears in when I seen the tach at 2000rpm at 80 mph but I don't think that has happened. What are the rest of you getting for gas mileage and what do you turn at say 80mph? Hope this isn't a mess up through ford but just how much they have changed things for the better. Let me know, I'll keep a close eye on the mpg.

P.S. Just did a recheck and if my math isn't off(which it could be) I got 17.14mpg. Went 300 miles and I put 17.5(really 17.492) gallons in this morning and it showed right at half tank on the gage. Is there anyway of knowing what gear is in the rearend other than the sticker(like on the pumkin)? It does take off good and shifts fast kind of like the 3.73 I had in my 99.

Ithink it is because you got the bigger tires on the 18 inch rims. those bigger tires bring down the rpms. also it also is the equivilance of haveing the 17 inch rim stock tires and the 3.55. you should have vary similar performance.
