Getting 16 mpg on 5.4L 3v
You guys do realize that you can hit the reset button to clear the MPG. Clearing it and driving at a nice steady rate for several miles should give you a good idea of what you're really getting. There's a section in the manual that talks to that. I've been getting 14-16 on my 3.73 5.4. Also remember, idle time is going to hurt your milage.
When I went to pick up my truck the dealer had it sitting on the show room floor and someone had left the door open and run the battery open, so while we were filling paperwork they let it idle to charge the battery. The thing showed awful fuel milage on the guage until I eventually reset it and started getting a better idea of what I was really getting.
