Car amps are usually rated in a "watts per channel" method...

I took the 80 watt amp to be 80 watts per channel... so that would be a 320 watt amp...

My story...
Went to take delivery on my Lariat 4x4 this morning.
Verified all options versus what I ordered. The Audiophile was left out! When the truck was ordered the form had the code 581 (Audiophile) and the code for the Six-Disc Changer. I did receive the Six-Disc. I was mad. I've been looking forward to this day for quite some time since mid-July. To ease my frustration, I listened to another truck's stereo system equiped with the Audiophile and it was an immediate and noticeable difference for someone that is into stereo quality. The new standard stereo sounds better than previous year models but the Audiophile stands out. The dealer stated that Ford did not verify back to the dealership which stereo was to be utilized in my order. They used the Six-Disc since it was the last code on the original order form at the time of entry. You would think that since the Audiophile consists of the Six-Disc In-Dash Changer and the Audiophile is an upgraded feature they would have added it. Needless to say, I refused delivery and the dealer is in the process of dealer trading for a similiar truck. If nothing is found or even willing to trade, which I'm believing will be the case, I'll reorder.
@#$%
Just spending this much money, I going to get exactly what I want and not compromise.

At least you caught it before taking delivery. I still waiting on the black box and hoping that after installing it that I'll have the upgraded system.
