For those of us in CA, hope for delivery before OCT. 1st. I completed the purchase for my truck yesterday (Toreador Red Lariat 4x2)... and pick it up today. Below are the tax, title & registration charges that I paid. They said after 10/1/03, expect to pay close to $900 for title, registration and other charges.

Sales Tax @ 7.75% 2356.10
Title, Registration & Other Costs 400.00

I assume that if you're stuck paying and Davis is replaced, the new GOV would repeal the bill and you should get a refund of the overpayment.

Just something to consider.

good thing i got the other fees waived (advertising fee, gas fee, etc). i ordered mine today so hopefully by the time it arrives (after Thanksgiving?) all of this crap will be sorted out.

The more I hear about CA the more I dislike it. Glad I live in AZ. You guys must love Davis by now.

fordabbits ~ California isn't too bad (hold my breath). Don't get me wrong, Davis screwed stuff up pretty bad and he NEEDS TO GO ! I guess there are worse places to be. We're just being taxed TO DEATH !

 

Davis can suck my d**k. I hate that guy, seriously. I'm real freaking excited about paying close to a grand in TTL's to bail out that poophead's total mismanagement of our state.

I also like that instead of deporting known illegal aliens, we give them driver's licenses and they stay in the state so they can have a bunch of kids that will never speak english correctly and further destroy our school systems. GREAT.

Okay, instead of turning this thread into an immigrant bashing thread, let's talk about how crappy this increase of registration is. And how I'm going to take delivery of my car about 2 weeks AFTER the change in price. I've been on my salesman's *** about getting my truck here so I can avoid the extra charge, but he doesn't seem to care. That is probably why he NEVER calls me back when he says he will.

 

Makes me feel good I live in the backward state Ha Ha of South Carolina. Tax, Tag Transfer, Title $300.

Sorry you guys in the progressive state of California are getting the shaft. Gotta love those Democrats Bigger and Bigger government.
