Lifting and Warranty

I have a 04' Fx4 on the way and am thinking about adding the spacers to raise the front end. My question is, will doing something like this void the warranty?

Thats a good question that Im probably going to have to contact the dealer about. But because your not modifying any of the supension parts or replacing any thing, I wouldnt think so. But you never know. Do you think youll take it in or do it your self?

Good news. When I bought my 2004 F150, the accessory guy at the dealership told me about the 2-1/2" front lift kit they offered and showed me photos of their installation on the dealer's truck. I asked if it affected the drive train and would it void the warranty. He told me it was a body lift kit and would not void the warranty since the "kit" consisted of nothing more than spring spacers, etc. The price was about $350 installed. I'm going to see how the tongue weight of my boat trailer lowers the rear before I decide to raise the front. The trailer caused my '97 Lariat to squat a little so don't want to repeat that. Although I trust this dealership, you might want to get any statements about "not voiding your warranty" in writing. I think you would be ok if a Ford dealer sold and installed the lift kit. Not sure about aftermarket or do-it- yourself.
