I would love an update on my VIN # also if possible from someone with the power to do so. The # is 1FTPX04544KB00712. I would still like to no what the difference is in the vin where it is either an A or B after the plant letter.

 

Got my vin number 1FTPW14584KB00558 earlier this week. Is it possible to get build dates?

Guigster I would have to say yes that is the date that it was ordered at the dealer and sent to ford but I could be wrong. BIGMACFX4 thank you very much for the vin update I hope like hell that it is built this week but you never know. i am not knocking those who are askign for VIN updates, but can't dealers get these updates for their customers? i mean, i assum those who are posting results on this forum are dealers, so don't they all have access to the info? i would just call my dealer, but perhaps it is more complicated than that...

 

Info from the dealer? My dealer doesn't even know when they are getting any in, much less mine. Or so they say. They claim on several occassions trucks have just shown up without any notice with a couple of 04's on them. On the positive side they keep calling me so I can come out and look at them in case I would want one of them. But, they are loaded with a bunch of stuff I am unwilling to pay for. I did get a partial VIN on the one I ordered. Salesman said that he could only get the first 2 and last 8 #'s. Is it even possible to find out any info with this much of the VIN?

Geez, you could pretty much put the rest together yourself...

1FTPW12524KA65910 - The bold portion is the type of truck (ordering code) for.... 4x2 or 4x4, Cab type, bed style. KA indicates it's made in Kansas City (so it's most likely a SCrew... W12 or W14)
