ARE LSII Tonneau Covers

I am curious as to what others are getting quoted on LSII Tonneau Covers. Since you cant ORDER ARE LSII, and have to buy from a DEALER. I have been quoted two prices by a local shop that has two stores, 1-$849.99+10.00 shipping + tax and 2-849.99 +tax (go figure) and a shop on the coast (160 miles away, nice trip) $800.00 plus tax. (all prices, PAINTED, installed). Of course ARE are shipped "painted". Just curious as to what you are quoted since it seems you are at the MERCY of the local dealer.

Mine wasnt for a 2004 model but was within the last few months. My local dealer gave me a quote of 869.00 plus tax but it also had a 12v light, electric lock in the quote and the clamps with installation. Base price was 809.00 installed + tax without the extras. It had to be ordered and took 2 weeks to get...
Ended up with a Z series instead for about a 1000 more in the end.
Your quotes plus tax seem about par and maybe a little on the higher end. I dont believe the shipping charge is a extra fee from the 1 dealer you quoted though . The 2 I asked here both said the cost included shipping and the paint to match.....

Much Lower

My A.R.E. dealer quoted $740 installed minus the $20 online coupon ($720). Extra cost options - carpeted headliner $75, Wing $357 w/light $295 w/o light.

I ordered a Leer 700 Series instead. $750 after $40 online coupon. Included carpeted headliner. I liked the construction and looks of the Leer better than the A.R.E. Different dealer.

These are both in NE Iowa.

Check out http://www.americancampershells.com/shells.asp Leer is the only one that has them for the 2004 F150's. The others won't come out for a few more weeks. The bed rugs are supposed to come out, they say by Oct. or Nov. Just a little FYI

Here in San Jose they are selling them for $910.00 installed. The light is extra, the remote lock is extra the headliner is extra. You can get the coupon online to get $20.00 off. With sales tax at 8.25% it makes it about 965.00 without any options.
