Question XLT:No chrome grill?

For what I can see, you can't have an XLT with a chrome grill.
Lariat has one and even the XL has a chrome grill.

Why not on an XLT.

For the same reason you can't get a Lariat in Dark Shadow Gray or Silver. Ford likes being wierd that way.

Its all about the money and Fordīs new way of marketing. You canīt have an XLT with a chrome grill but for several thousand more you can and get the lariat with a lot of other stuff you might not want or need but it gets you the grill. Upselling is the key. The most options ever available but only on certain models.

Chrome grills are unattractive, to me anyway. I like the body color much better. I've always noticed a discoloration and/or wear on chrome grills after a while.

Yeah, they discolor or sort of "tarnish" if you will or they get nicks and chips in them exposing the beautiful black plastic beneath the chrome whatever it is. Happened like that on my ranger.
