Cool Picked up '04 Supercrew

I am new to this forum, so first I would like to thank everyone who shared their information with me. I had been looking to buy a 2004 F-150 since I first seen pictures of them. I previously owned a 1998 extended cab lariat and a 2002 supercrew lariat. This morning I picked up a 2004 supercrew lariat at X-plan price. I did not order it. I had to bicker a little to get the saleman down to X-plan price and he finally conceded. This leads me to believe that there probably is no reason to order one. These trucks are coming out everyday and soon we will be overran with them. I never considered ordering one because I knew that it would only be a matter of time before I found what I wanted. BTW I live in south Texas. In talking to the dealer, I found out Ford has many, many supercrew lariats and FX4's waiting to be sold, but they are in this final push to rid themselves of the '03's. Once this is over, you will become overran with o4's. Anyway, mine is a 2-wheel drive lariat, sunroof, 6-disc changer, tow package, leather captains, 3.55 limited slip, and is black as ace of spade. I love it and it drives like a charm. Many many stares were coming my way when the salesman filled it with gas for me at the local station. I wish everyone luck on finding their truck.

But what are the odds that the exact ones we ordered are going to be found on the lot? Everyone has their different bells and whistles.

....also , I forgot Texas is kind of the truck capitol so we may have gotten more '04's in this part of the country.

Well Texas is a BIG State. Not Like New Hampshire.. The two largest dealerships in NH only have one apeice. NO test drives in this state . SHOWROOM only.

....hang in there Phil. It'll get better in the coming weeks. At least up north, you don't have to put up with 100 degree temps along with 100% humidity. It's a killer....

You got that right kawman62, its the same here in Mississippi...LOL. NH is nice this time of year. I spent a week in Claremont/Newport NH during AUGUST several years back and the high for the week was like 75...... No wonder all the folks in the LL Bean Catalog are wearing sweaters with their shorts for summer wear..... grin.

...wow, that really must be nice. BTW, I passed by my dealers lot again and he's added 2 white screw lariats 2WD, a black screw lariat 4X4, a grey XLT screw 2WD, and about 4 supercabs XLT's.
